At Austin Sendero, we believe in strengthening the whole self-mind, body, and spirit. Our trained professionals respect the unique role that an eating disorder can play in one’s life and will work with our patients to help create an individualized path to recovery. Understanding the role healthy exercise plays in recovery, we strive to implement a healthy lifestyle for all individuals through fitness, nutrition, and therapy. Our community of support provides fitness education and structured techniques in combination with a proper nutrition plan based on the unique needs of the individual. Through the individual and group therapy process, we are able to foster an atmosphere of healing, connection and relatedness to ones self and others.
Because eating disorders can leave males and females feeling lonely, isolated and ashamed, we assist the patients in building healthier connections and relationships with peers, family, and most importantly themselves. When patients begin to connect with self and others, they are able to develop an identity separate from the eating disorder, allowing them to move from a place of self destruction onto a path of hope and healing. It is our purpose to facilitate and support these men and women through this process of healing as they face their deepest challenges.
